Welcome to YOUth Drive Change!
Our platform is part of the Erasmus+ Project 'YOUth Drive Change!', an initiative that promotes civic engagement, European values, inclusion, and democratic participation among young people. The project aims to support youth workers and young people through non-formal education methods that encourage active citizenship, dialogue, and a stronger sense of European identity.

About Project
'YOUth Drive Change!' aims to empower youth workers and young people to engage more actively in civic life by strengthening their understanding of European values, democracy, and active citizenship through non-formal education. Through transnational cooperation between organisations from Poland, Italy, Greece, and Romania, the project focuses on increasing youth participation, promoting inclusion and supporting young people, including those with fewer opportunities, to feel more connected to their communities and to Europe.
The project’s objectives include equipping youth workers with practical tools and methods to address topics such as European identity, human rights, and democratic participation, engaging young people in interactive workshops and online dialogue, and developing accessible educational resources that can be used in everyday youth work. By combining training, local activities, digital tools, and international exchange, 'YOUth Drive Change!' strengthens organisational capacity and collaboration across countries, creating sustainable learning opportunities that continue to support youth engagement beyond the project’s duration.
Activities
Kick-Off Meeting
The Kick-off Meeting marks the starting point of the 'YOUth Drive Change!' project and brings together representatives of all partner organisations for face-to-face collaboration. This meeting focuses on creating a shared understanding of the project’s vision, objectives, and overall structure, ensuring that all partners work towards the same goals from the very beginning. During the meeting, partners align on roles and responsibilities, agree on timelines, and discuss key implementation and communication processes. The Kick-off Meeting also supports trust-building and cooperation between organisations, strengthening transnational collaboration and establishing a solid framework for the successful delivery of all project activities.
SkillsBoost – Competency Development for Youth Workers
SkillsBoost is an international training course designed to strengthen the professional competences of youth workers working with diverse groups of young people. The activity focuses on non-formal education methods that support the promotion of European values, human rights, democratic participation, and active citizenship. Through a combination of interactive learning, practical exercises, and reflective sessions, youth workers develop facilitation skills, inclusive approaches, and creative methods they can apply in their everyday work. The training also provides space for exchanging experiences and good practices between countries, helping participants to better address the needs of young people, including those with fewer opportunities, and to design more engaging and impactful youth activities.
ACTivate Toolkit – Tools for Promoting European Identity and Citizenship
The ACTivate Toolkit is an educational resource developed within the project to support youth workers, educators, and youth organisations across Europe. The toolkit brings together research insights, strategies, and methods focused on European identity, civic engagement, democratic participation, and inclusion. It reflects the diverse experiences of the partner countries and offers adaptable tools that can be used in different local contexts. By providing practical guidance and concrete examples, the ACTivate Toolkit aims to strengthen the capacity of youth workers to engage young people in meaningful discussions about Europe, democracy, and active citizenship, while encouraging inclusive and participatory learning environments.
Local Workshops for Young People
Local workshops are organised in each partner country to directly involve young people in interactive learning experiences focused on European values, democracy and civic participation. These workshops use non-formal education methods such as debates, simulations, group discussions and creative activities to encourage active participation and critical thinking. Particular attention is given to including young people with fewer opportunities, ensuring that diverse perspectives are represented and valued. Through these workshops, young people explore their role as active citizens, strengthen their sense of belonging to Europe and gain confidence to engage more actively in their communities.
Youth HUB Online Event – YOUTalk: YOUr Perspectives on European Citizenship
The Youth HUB online event, YOUTalk, creates a shared digital space where young people from different partner countries can connect, exchange ideas and reflect on European citizenship. The event encourages open dialogue on topics such as participation, inclusion, identity and the challenges young people face in their communities. By bringing together participants from different cultural and social backgrounds, YOUTalk promotes mutual understanding and cross-border exchange. The online format ensures accessibility for young people, allowing them to actively contribute their perspectives and feel part of a wider European conversation.
Local Conferences
Dissemination events and local conferences are organised to share the project’s results, tools, and learning outcomes with a wider audience. These activities engage youth workers, organisations, educators, local stakeholders, and community members, promoting the use of the project’s resources beyond the partnership. Through presentations, discussions and networking opportunities, dissemination events highlight good practices developed during the project and encourage further collaboration. They play a key role in increasing visibility, supporting sustainability, and ensuring that the impact of YOUth Drive Change! continues after the project’s completion.
